My country is totally fucked right now - bushfires in the west, catastrophic floods in the east.  I'm way down south, well away from the danger zone, but this shit is scary and it just keeps getting worse.  If anyone out there can donate anything to the Queensland Flood Crisis Appeal or any other relief organisations, please help us.

A couple of weeks ago, another tragic celebrity death occurred, an actor called Mark Priestley.  He was on an Australian hospital drama called All Saints (very popular here, not sure if it's on tv in America or not).  It's especially sad, because this was a suicide - he suffered from severe depression, and as a result, jumped off a building.  His ( Read more... )
