Olivia had a temper, a need for control, and a fierce sense of self-preservation. She thrived on attention and basked in affection. And though she didn’t show it to most of the world, she had a need for reassurance, an underlying sense of insecurity, and an overwhelming desire to be loved and accepted. Natalia knew her cowardly six-week absence must have broken Olivia’s spirit. Why didn’t I realize that before I came back? Why didn’t I realize that before I left? - Very cool.

She wanted do it right this time. Granted, ‘right’ probably wasn’t the word to describe how she had found herself in love with her best friend but pregnant with a baby formed from a union with a man that she didn’t love. Natalia was pretty sure there was no word in the English language that could describe that situation, at least not one she was willing to let cross her lips. - HA!

Love the family image Natalia has in her head. And I absolutely love the whole conversation between Josh and Natalia, how he's trying to help but still keep Olivia's secrets.

Wow, you know, I didn't even realize the contrast between Olivia being so confused and Natalia having such an understanding - that is awesome that you picked that out!

Chapter 5 talks about how Natalia spends so much time watching and trying to figure out Olivia, so maybe that is why she understands her so well. LOL. I love when things work out that I hadn't even planned on!
