Thank you! I loved mixing up the chronology, so I'm glad you enjoyed it and that it made sense!

And heh, as much as I approve of John and Sherlock killing Lovecraftian monsters with impunity, I can't help but think that it would totally mess you up. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I really like your take on A Study in Emerald. Your updates to the worldbuilding are well thought out.

Such as - that John is the one who commits the actual killings because he's had special surgical training, so he knows what the Old Ones' vulnerable points are. It helps explain why it's so hard for humans to fight against them, as a delay in seeking for vulnerable points would be fatal, and also why Sherlock in the original story had to decoy the victim for so long, instead of doing it himself.
