This was absolutely brilliant. Am off to discover H.P. Lovecraft now (I had A Study in Emerald saved on my laptop, but had no idea it was a crossover!) feel slightly ashamed I've not read anything by him before.

I really do love this fic though!

Thanks! Um, I would not actually recommend Lovecraft myself, since his prose tends towards the purple, and he has pretty much some of the worst racism I've seen in a twentieth-century author. I do enjoy the mythos, though, and the way people play with it. Maybe it would be more entertaining to watch The Adventures of Lil Cthulhu instead.

Ooh, wowwww... I just recently read "A Study in Emerald," thought it was brilliant, and so wanted to read more of what might come next. Thanks for this piece!

I love this ridiculously much. Just, like, crooning to my laptop while I'm reading it.

I clicked on this from someone's memories without thinking, and got a thrill up and down my spine when I realised what it was, it didn't disappoint! Not sure what else to say except that I loved this, and your integration of BBC Sherlock characters into the Study in Emerald world feels very real and complete and delicious! Thank you!

Thanks for reading! Yeah, Gaiman planted the image of Watson with his knives in my mind and I couldn't quite get it out. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
