Aww, sorry to hear Ashe isn't doing better. It's so hard when they have so much trouble getting healthy. :/ You get so torn between wanting to keep them around, but not wanting them to suffer.
I hate it when I have rats to medicate. D; I never even bother with flavoring, because they never like it. I usually have to wrap mine up burrito style, as it's easier to force the meds in without getting scratched/them being able to fuss too much.
They are such handsome boys, though. <3 I'm sure as they grow they'll calm down a lot too, and get sweeter. A lot of my boys were crazy as babies, but got more relaxed as they got older.
Well I am wrapping my boys in what I think is burrito style. I tried to find a picture all over the internet and the only burrito style I could find was the taped up burrito after they have had surgery. I just kind of wrap the towel around them like a burrito as best as I can and hold them. At some point they usually end up wiggling out or my grip and I am always afraid of holding them too hard.
I am so scared they are going to hate me. I don't even think half of it gets down them. I go through the side of the mouth and get some in, but they hold it in their mouth and won't eat it and then I have to give more and it usually ends up coming out and getting all on the towel. I fear that is why they didn't fully recover the first round because they didn't get the proper dosage the whole time from not eating it all. But I swear they got a lot more of the strawberry down than the peanut butter. Any tips?
I am so scared they are going to hate me and never bond.
