Just wanted to note that my budgies are eating Harrison's lifetime mash! It feels like a big accomplishment since the vet wanted me to aggressively change up their diet because of Chirp's liver disease

I converted my guys to pellets by eating one in front of them and not giving it to them at first. So they got curious because I always give them some of my food. I then "relented" and gave them each one. They loved them and they haven't had seeds in decades. I give them all sorts of "people" food, like scrambled egg, pasta, clementines, nuts. Mikey loves cranberries, and looks forward to this time of the year when they are in season. Petey likes a warm lentil "salad" that I make. Max favors the egg and also cashews.
I ground up Zupreem in a tiny mortar and pestle for Feisty and he figured out on his own that it was food :-D I had to break up large Zupreem into little chunks for Muffin to figure out :-D Muffin had no problem figuring out people food ;-D
My current budgies aren't tame, but they are keen on eating greens--Chirp didn't quite figure out celery was food at first, but he does love leafy greens, cucumber, carrot and apple. He loves carrot way too much--I have to give tiny pieces, otherwise he'll eat the whole thing!

Do you feed your guys any people food?

My current budgies aren't tame, but they are keen on eating greens--Chirp didn't quite figure out celery was food at first, but he does love leafy greens, cucumber, carrot and apple. He loves carrot way too much--I have to give tiny pieces, otherwise he'll eat the whole thing!
