We had a surprise visit last weekend from a friend who brought us a copy of a card game called Trash Pandas, some chocolate and the awesome budgie plushie below. It's Sweetpea from The Secret Life of Pets! I just love it :-) My friends know me so well!

You know which people "get" you when they give you spontaneous gifts that you actually like. There have been very few people that have "nailed' me when it comes to gifts -- surprisingly it's usually people haven't known me long or very well. People who know me a little better usually get me something that THEY would like. I don't know why that is, but it seems to be the case for me.

I'm not sure why that is either--gifts or cards often say a lot about the giver than the receiver for sure! Or, people just give/re-gift dreadful gifts like a candle :D
