When it comes to breeding, it really does depend on where you live. I live in Australia, and after *extensive* research, I could only come up with one truly legitimate bird adoption organization (at the other end of the country), and one other that I didn't particularly trust. Most of my birds are bought from an impeccable store, and two from local breeders. There aren't really all that many options, and I suspect it may be the same where you live. Unwanted birds here tend to be sold to someone else, not surrendered.

If you lived in America, then yes, I would agree: adoption ALLLLLLL the way. There as *so* many birds in need of homes. But since you don't, I'd focus on making sure both you, and your birds, are prepared. Though I will suggest the local classifieds! Perhaps there are people out there looking to sell their budgies. :)
