Wow, I didn't know there was a limit, either. That seems so wrong to put a limit on how many friends/comms a person can have.

what I found works well for comms is to subscribe to the "weekly newsletters" (ie, TW3, etc) and then remove myself from the ones they list.
I think LJ actually used to have a smaller limit. :-))
Also, if you really wanted to, you could set up a seperate journal with UserName2 and put those comms on it. I just find it handier to get fics and comm stuff on my flist, so have thought of work arounds. Not that have *have* that many friends, but...smaller list size before, like I mentioned.
