Well Vriska had been planning to go bother Haruhi. But she happens to leave her room at the same time that Federico walks into the apartment.

She pauses and stares at him, then brightens up and grins infuriatingly at him, "Oh hey theeeeeeeere! Are you that new roommate I read about?"

Perking up at the voice, Federico turns and sees...well, a girl with grey skin and orange eyes and...and good god were those horns? He thinks he sees fangs when she talks. What madness was this.

The confusion is written all over his face, but he tries to stay polite and not stare. "I suppose that I am," he replies, stepping in further. "My name is Federico Auditore. Who might you be?"

This is Sparta.

"Well aren't you polite!" Vriska snickers quietly, "Vriska Serket. Your accent's different from the other humans, huh?"

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Signorina Serket." He'll be as polite as possible until Vriska does something to warrant otherwise. Also, he gives a slight bow, because that is how he rolls. "Si, it is. The change is a bit...startling."

He begins to bring up the subject of her appearance as tactfully as he can manage. "You're...not quite human, are you?" So very tactful. He is so smooth.

Cue entrance of blonde girl - she's walking through the hallways of the apartment building, slightly puzzled. When she catches sight of Federico, she runs up to him. "Hey, you're new here, aren't you? Pleased to meet you, I'm Juliet Butler!" she rattles off, grinning. "Um, would you happen to know which building this is? I think I might be a bit lost..."

The encounter was surprising, but not unwelcome. Federico flashes a smile. "I am Federico Auditore. The pleasure is all mine, Signorina Butler." At the question, however, he gives an uneasy look. "I'm afraid this building is unfamiliar. However, I would love to help."

"Oh, please, just call me Juliet. Most people call my older brother Butler, so it's just weird if people call me that!" She fiddles with her ponytail. "And it's fine, I mean, I really shouldn't have asked you about the whole building thing, cause duh! It's your first day here! Welcome to Pareidolia! This place is like, half creepy, half great. Like, it's a nice city and everything. But weird things happen." All this is said with a smile on her face, as if she doesn't understand the gravity of what she's just said.

He gives a chuckle. "Va bene, Juliet. Thank you for the welcome, it helps to know at least some people here know a bit of what's going on." Because most of the common people outside are just crazy.

A frown at the last part, however. "Weird things? Such as?"
