Lovely sweetie, really lovely. Nothing more important than family in my book. Loved the laying of the hands on the table, the childhood gesture of togetherness, recreated after such hard times. Very nicely done indeed.

I'm still trying to think which colour you will choose for Charlie.

I agree with you. Nothing is more important thatn family. The hands gesture kind of came out of nowhere when I was writing. I'm glad it worked.

I don't think people are going to figure out Charlie's color.

That's what I was thinking. People mostly write about the Eppes men, which is cool since they are the main characters, but I think we need more family stories that are not focused on them.
