I feel stupid asking this since I'm unfamiliar with Tsubasa/xxxHolic canon, but how exactly do wishes work? I'm getting the impression from the FAQ and other game info that you can only wish to travel worlds, or does she grant any wish indirectly by sending you through worlds for whatever price she sets and letting you find whatever will fulfill your wish in your travels?
You are so not stupid just because you didn't read some select manga~ That's silly. This is a fine question to ask and we're happy to provide an answer. ^_

How loose are we allowed to follow the world guidelines? I'd like to be able to put Plants on Kale, but I'm not entirely sure if this would be allowed. I figure they could always have AU'ed mysterious origins and be lacking the whole 'produces items for everyone' aspect they had in the anime/manga, if that's alright. If it's not, should I pick a different planet?
After a very long debate that probably wouldn't make sense to summarize, we have decided that we really, really need to know what you plan to do with the Plants so that we can decide whether or not it fits into Kale (Or any other world, for that matter.)
There are certain cases under which it can work and certain cases under which it can't. We don't want to change the overall feel of any worlds (Unless it is somehow developed in-game) and Plants as a power source (Or source of anything) would significantly alter the feel of Kale. However, if you intend to have it as just a legend and let Vash wander around without anyone knowing what he is, (Leaving the residents unaware of any such technology) that might be able to fit.
So, please, grace us with your insight and ideas! We simply must know~~~
I did intend on leaving them as a legend without any benefit of technology or being a power source. Here's what I have written up for the application:
The Plants are a mysterious race of ethereal beings, their origins and true nature unknown, but at one point they had run-ins with the humans of Kale. Wherever they came from, they found Kale too harsh for them to survive easily. The solution was crude, but effective - the Plants were put in glass coffins and stashed away in scattered places all over, from caves to riverbeds to literally being buried. There, they were able to put themselves in a form of suspended animation and remain that way indefinitely. Years passed, and for most people, being out of sight meant that the Plants were also out of mind.
If that doesn't work, please let me know. I can always figure out something else.
Is there a way to be a traveler but plan to be a resident. My character came into this world because she had a wish to wake up in her own. I am making an App for Fuko Ibuki from Clannad, and if you don't know the series she was hit by a car and in a coma, but was able to project herself into the real world as a dream once she completed the task of making her older sister's wedding perfect. Once she succeeded she disappeared into the sky and all who ever met her forgot about her.
So I was going to have to wake up in this world to ask Yoko if she could help her wake up from the coma.
Hi! ♥ Um, potential RPer here, and I've got something else I'd like to clarify. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question or series of questions, rather (and I might've just missed the answer while reading the above information because it's a little late here), but I just wanted to be sure about this... once a character arrives in either of the worlds/dimensions, he/she doesn't have an ICD, right? But would it be possible that having an ICD would have been part of the wish? Say, he/she paid more than enough that aside from being able to travel, Yuuko threw in the ICD as well? Or will that character have to get his/her ICD somehow? Thanks a lot, and sorry for this. ^_^;;
"Acquiring an ICD depends on the circumstances. If you pay more than you need to, you'll likely be sent off to the next dimension WITH your ICD. But you can also get your ICD later You can either get it by contacting Yuuko somehow and paying another price...or you could find one/steal someone else's."
Of course! :) As long as you can explain why the other character would send them to Yuuko and as long as that other character has the magical potential to do it, that's perfectly acceptable. Just don't forget that wish will come at a price~
Nah, I was just thinking that the character would send the one I'm thinking of to Yuuko so he could make his wish, not pay the price for him. Specifically, I'm thinking that The Merciful Goddess from Saiyuki sends the War God Nataku to Yuuko so he can make a wish to 'get away from his father.' The price is something I need to figure out.
