Don't even try to run

if a company advertises in their job postings that they have a "casual work environment (jeans, shorts, sandals)," what would you wear to the interview?

obv. i'm not saying i want to wear shorts, but do you think i could get away with nice pants and a dress shirt?

i'm already looking for an excuse to not wear a suit--believe it or not i actually no longer fit in the suit i got when i was 16 (this is actually a little surprising to me)--and i don't want to look like a sucker, showing up in a suit to a company where people work in shorts...

i wear basically pajamas to work and i'm a boss and i'm leaving so we are interviewing for me and someone came in in business formal and we made fun of him. a lot.

here is what you wear: no denim, flat front pants, with normal shoes, and a normal shirt. those are the only types of clothes you seem to have, so i think you are fine.

i had to wear a three piece suit for the first time last weekend and i wanted to strangle someone, but i also felt oddly adult, so if you can get a business formal job, i'd recommend it for the adult feeling powers.

I say wear a tie. But a good looking tie. Basically.. look sharp... walk in confident.

If they are wearing all casual... I imagine them being very relaxed.. and... maybe a bit schlubby. Walk in... look swank and relaxed.. and I bet it impresses them a bit.

You know no one is wearing a suit to work there... but I would think you want to be a little better dressed than the person interviewing you. And they could conceivably be wearing a dress shirt and nice pants.
