05:Accidental Video: Calen Shielder: The shadows are creeping closer

*The feed comes to life with the sight of nothing more than a hand, groaning heard, then a whimper follows. At last after some random noises, much like an animal fighting for survival a very human gasp is heard accompanied by crashing as the NOC hits the ground from the user suddenly waking up and knocking it over.*Crap.....they are getting worse,

*The NOC fell and Calen curses again, he didn't know the thing was on and he was pretty sure he'd woken Kairi with that noise if the other hadn't*

*He picks it up and offers a sheepish grin to the woman on the other end*

Yeah, just a bad dream, worse is if I woke up the young lady staying here.

That's how it happens around here, things seem to go around like a plague when they happen.

[ It had been awhile since he'd last spoken with the kid, and actually wondered if he made it out of that Zombie mess alright. Things were hard being an adult around here, he couldn't imagine being so young, and away from his sisters. ]

*He starts, but Calen has gotten used to the NOC and that voice is a tad bit familiar. It takes his mind a moment to recognize it as one of the people he spoke to not long after arriving, right before all the zombies and that showed up. Which he had made it out of, still with no signs of the twins though and a death to follow but not due to Zombies, all in all he'd say he's doing alright, now*

I see. You're not the only one experiencing those, so I wouldn't be too concerned. [ About having weird dreams. The fact that a lot of people were having them? Yes. Be very concerned. But he's going to concentrate on the positive. ]

Yeah, I noticed others were having them, think it's this place doing it? *He's going to worry either way, that's what Calen does he worries over everyone but himself.*

I hope so, she was pretty tired and not too long out of the clinic from being sick, I don't want to wake her.

[Kairi can try to pretend to be asleep, but fact reveals, at length, that this female is not as unconscious as she might strive to appear.

She does not have to look at her NOC; instead, the redhead merely turns over to face Calen's direction, and peeks her eyes open curiously and in concern. Her voice is nothing more than a whisper as she calls over to him.]

Calen? Calen, why are you awake right now?

*He'd heard her stirring and was preparing to try and slip from the room to avoid waking her, but when he heard Kairi's voice he grimaces, even if the sound of it does chase away the voices in his mind still screaming from that nightmare, he feels bad for having woke her. A sheepish smile on his face he walks over closer and settles down beside her*

Bad dream, don't worry Kairi, just try to rest I'll be alright, promise.

[There is scrutiny in blue eyes as they focus on Calen for a moment. Kairi is attempting to discern whether or not there is any truth is the statement, and, after several moments of holding silence, decides it is not as reassuring as it is intended to be. Even so, she merely shifts onto her back and stares up at the ceiling mutely for a minute before she speaks.]

I have bad dreams, too. I wasn't really sleeping, you know? [A small, abashed smile, but it fades quickly.] But yours sounded worse than mine. Is it anything talking about will help?

*He shifts under the scrutiny of those blue eyes, he had to tell someone he knew he did. If Kairi was going to live with him, she needed to know, what if he lost it again, he didn't want to hurt her. Finally he sighs as he looks up the ceiling.* Are the dreams bugging you too?

*He doesn't even notice that smile, his face is a mask of worry and concern as he worries his bottom lip for a moment.* Kairi, I'm not...normal.

*He had to say this, he had to, he knew it and yet that did not make it any easier. Finally he continues on in a slow tone, all he could hope was she wouldn't hate him when he was done*

*He actually gasped and went speechless for a moment, not in anger, not in disbelief but in utter relief. That voice was one he was glad to hear, even if it was in the midst of a nightmare, he hadn't wanted that man to die and it seemed he was alive.*

*He goes silent for a few moments, this was a touchy subject, how easy was it going to be to convince someone you weren't angry with them for killing you. Calen knew it wasn't a dream, he had the scar where that sword had taken his life, but he had no anger.*

Killed me....I know, I knew you would when I stepped out on that street, you couldn't help it, you're better now? *Polite way of asking if Cloud was in control or that other being he had seen within him?*
