It has been brought to my attention that there are now two individuals who are missing. One of which, the rejse child, is around the city; and the other outside the city's walls. I cannot use my ability to find either of them but I am not

[ Lauren blinked away the tears that were starting to come and she gripped onto him tighter. ] I don't like the idea of you being out there.

I know, I'm sorry, but I have to help find those that are missing. It's my job. You would do the same if it were one of our own out there.

[ He didn't catch her tears. Not yet. ]

As it does me...I also apologize about telling you there were no children. I didn't know about the rejse, and their magic prevents me from feeling them.

There's nothing t apologize for, Grant. I'm sure I've been hindered someway because of them.

[ To that he only nodded again, falling silent for a short while before inclining his head to try and make eye contact with her. ] I know it's hard, and a lot to ask, but please. Try not to worry over me. I know if you put all of your energy into looking you can find the little one.

By the time you do, it's very possible we'll be back.

[ Her hazel gaze was more green due to the fact that she's been fighting tears back. Lauren pressed her forehead against his and sighed. ] I can't stop worrying about you completely, but I will try my best. For you.

Thank you. [ He practically murmured before reaching up with both his hands to take the side of her face; his thumbs running across her damp cheeks. Grant leaned forward to give her a tender kiss. ]

[ Lauren's face flushed under his touch and she leaned into it. Her heart was beating faster and faster until it faltered when he kissed her. Reaching out, she took the back of his neck to deepen the kiss. ]

[ A content sound escaped his lips as she deepened the kiss. One of his hands fell from her face to curl around her side, holding her closer to him. Grant was glad she had asked to see him before he left, he needed this. ]

[ She knew she'd see him again, but she couldn't let him leave without saying goodbye. Slowly Lauren broke the kiss and rested her forehead against his. ]

[ He remained still, his eyes closed, their foreheads touching, and he still held her against him. It was much harder now to leave. But he knew he had to. With a sigh, he softly rubbed his head against hers. ] I have to go.

[ She sighed and nodded. ] I -- I know. Please, be careful and safe out there.

[ He held her tighter. ] I will, I promise.

[ Craning his neck he leaned to kiss her once more. ] I love you.

[ She let the kiss linger and didn't try pulling away. Lauren wanted more time with him and would let him leave when he was ready. ] I love you too.
