This is a really cool meme. You know, excluding Smallville, I’m not into the ones that you love, but I may find the time to do this when I’m not driving or sleeping. And now that I have a car note, well time is very limited to enjoy myself! *sigh*

Hi there, Babette! Happy post-birthday! Did you have a good time? It was very rude of me not to send you a real birthday card but as I'm sure you're also experiencing, the time that's suddenly unavailable when you're working again is really alarming. Hopefully soon I'll get the swing of things and have the good grace to send a proper card next year. *hugs*

This is a cool meme. I highly recommend it! In fact I need to get started on the next set of questions. :)

And I know you may not like X-Men or Buffy, but have you ever seen Alias? ;)

After work, grab some delicious take out, watch your favorite movie and just ... mellow out. Love and miss you!

XOXOXOXOXOXO

I just started rewatching my Alias DVDs. Sydney Bristow to this day is still my favorite heroine. WOW. The show is so polished and well done, it gives me the chills!

Still, we all owe every fan fiction we've ever written or read to the X-Files fandom. My shipper heart and soul began with the X-Files. The first characters I ever wrote were Mulder and Scully. My first muses, plot bunnies, and fandom friends were all born from the X-Files. It's quite incredible, when you think about it.

This is exactly what happened to me just a couple of years later. I only got my first pc back in 1999, so there was no way for me to get online. But after my (now) hubby gifted me a pc and let me online ALL my life changed in so many awesome ways!

Dozens of stories will remain unpublished, and for good reason -- they sucked.

*haha* I KNOW that feeling. I do have a couple of unpublished fanfics on my hard drive too. ;)

Rogue and Wolverine of The X-Men come in second place. The whole X-Men universe was so vast and incredible with so many incredible characters to revolve around W/R that it really fed my creative energies for many happy years.
Oh man, we do seem to have a couple of things in common! I used to love ( ... )

It is incredible that The X-Files was the first genre to pioneer into the world of the Internet, going in our quest as Mulder was teaching us to be brave when it came to testing the boundaries of bureaucracy. We were an extremely brave fandom, the X-Philes, creating online fan fiction and succeeding in keeping it from being prosecuted for infringement of copyrighted content.

Obviously Star Trek and a few other shows and films managed to publish their stories of what we call fan fiction today, and they are the true pioneers of adaptations written by the people, but the Internet was a brand new frontier and it was X-Files fans who took the risk, pushed for our right to write stories, and won. That is SO cool. We should write a book and give interviews, haha.

After that I was more into ( ... )
