It is incredible that The X-Files was the first genre to pioneer into the world of the Internet, going in our quest as Mulder was teaching us to be brave when it came to testing the boundaries of bureaucracy. We were an extremely brave fandom, the X-Philes, creating online fan fiction and succeeding in keeping it from being prosecuted for infringement of copyrighted content.

Obviously Star Trek and a few other shows and films managed to publish their stories of what we call fan fiction today, and they are the true pioneers of adaptations written by the people, but the Internet was a brand new frontier and it was X-Files fans who took the risk, pushed for our right to write stories, and won. That is SO cool. We should write a book and give interviews, haha.

I only got my first pc back in 1999, so there was no way for me to get online. But after my (now) hubby gifted me a pc and let me online ALL my life changed in so many awesome ways! That's a great husband! He gave you a whole new world, yayyyyy!

After that I was more into Logan/Jean - so tragic! *sobs* NOOOOOOOOO! LOL! You traitor lol.

The X-Men are my favorite superheroes of all comics, movies and series out there! They are just amazing!

Mine too. I just adore The X-Men. Are you a member of any X-Men LiveJournals?
