Who: Jilly Coppercorn tehoniongirl and Willow Rosenberg its_worthdoing What: The inanimate roommate is no longer...well...inanimate When: Thursday night Where: Their room Rating: PG
Willow walked past the couch, giving the top of one well-stitched head a now habitual pat. She had done her best to keep Jilly entertained, with her own case of the 'just in case'. She spoke to her friend. Read to her. Kept her updated on as many on the events in the castle as she could. And?
On particularly lonely nights attempted to reverse the magic herself.
A doll couldn't ask for a better friend, really. She'd be sorry she wouldn't remember it, later, except for the part where remembering a month of so much stillness might drive her quite mad. She smiled at Willow, though, as she had all month. That much was the same, at least.
"It snowed outside," Willow offered by way of their daily conversation. "Somehow I forgot it was December until the snow came. Which is, of course, me not making sense."
She moved to pick up some of the books she'd left nearby.
"It comes every year, right after November. It is very reliable that way."
Still no motion. Her eyebrow didn't raise and her eyes didn't widen. But there was a thought, fuzzy around the edges, like the beginnings of a dream. Or, perhaps, the first bits of waking from one, when the mishmash of details don't line up quite right.
