The stringent odor of turpentine had faded from the rooms she shared with Willow. The painting she'd begun in October still sat on an easel, unfinished... untouched.
Jilly, with triangle stitch eyes and curly yarn hair, sat smiling and unseeing on the couch, a Raggedy Anne doll where a roommate had once been.
