The evening had been a good one despite the overload of information let out during dinner. At one point, Chase even stopped paying attention. He didn't particularly care about anyone else's business, and as for the two of them... Well, they're both single. They're both comfortable around each other. They've been friends for a while.

Alright, so the castle took away his memories when it booted him out -- but the past should still count for something. Or half of a something. Point is, there's nothing wrong with this whole... whatever it is they're doing. Plus, Jo leaning against him like this feels nice.

He let's out a smile, silently thanking her for the interruption.

"You look exhausted." Slipping his arm around her waist as he gets up, he grabs his jacket and her things. "Come on. Let's get you to bed."

She didn't actually want to think about everything that had come out of everyone's mouths at dinner. Jo assumed that she'd sift through it all eventually. That some of it would blow over - really, who cared if Max ate meat? and that some of it would just get fixed. Right now, she was just concerned that her whole fantastic party was now this black spot of horrible outbursts.

Nodding against him, she exhaled and wrapped her arms around him, "This is one of the few times I'm glad I still have a room here."

"Why don't you live in the castle? Wouldn't it be so much more convenient?" Chase is well aware of the fact that she spends most of her time between the Lux and the Gallery anyways. Or at least, that's where he usually sees her. For the past few weeks since his arrival at the castle, he's made a habit of getting lunch at the Lux. He definitely prefers it over getting his food served to him by a ghost.

She wants to tell him less talking - more moving, but she's too exhausted to argue about anything right now. So, instead, she just leans against him and continues to talk.

"The castle is easier, sure, but why should I live here just because that's what the castle wants? It didn't ask me if I wanted to be here. Plus, whenever the crazy horrible things happen, it's usually in this place. If I'm going to be here, I'm going to be here on my terms -- or at least as close to my terms as possible."
