[Felix stood at the workroom table, his sleeves rolled up to the elbows and he leaned against it, staring down the book he had open. All this spellwork was unfamiliar to him, as unfamiliar as the lyrium

[Needless to say the fact Felix had forgotten did not help make the day special. Not in the least. In fact, he was sitting in the solar of their apartments, holding a cup of tea, and staring sullenly at the fireplace. He knew Felix was busy and trying to help their friend, but was it so much to ask for him to take an hour or so off to just... say happy birthday and maybe eat a meal with him?

Finally he rose, setting the cup aside and made his way to Felix's work room with a resigned sort of sigh. He did not think the other would come out for dinner, but he cared, so he went to ask, knocking on the door.]

[Felix sighed a little at the interruption]

Come in!

[He wasn't thinking too much about who it might be. He could see what they wanted and get back to these curious diagrams]

[He frowned a bit. Could the other not even tell whom was at the door? He shook his head and opened, striding in.]

It is time for dinner. Come and eat Felix.

You didn't have to come all the way here to get me. I was planning on getting something later. You don't have to wait for me, you know.
