Lilah for the most part kept to herself during her stay here in Caritas. After all, she normally wouldn't be caught dead in this place (except for when she came to try to rile up Wesley), but considering it was a sanctuary and she didn't particularly feel like leaving herself around the castle as bait for Faith

And at that he smiled. "A lawyer, hm? I've heard something along that line about lawyers, but I've never known whether to believe it or not. I like be be my own breed, demon or not."

She carefully considers his words. "I'm guessing you're one as well, then?"

[lawyerlarry]

He smirks and nods. "Guilty as charged."

[buryyoualive]

She laughs a little. "And here I had begun to wonder if I was the only one."

[lawyerlarry]

"Oh I think there are enough of us," he nods. "We just don't talk about it. It's like a secret society." There's a playfulness about his tone, just as there usually is when he cracks jokes about his chosen career.

"Complete with special code words we can use to recognize one another?" She asked, quirking a grin as she took another drink from her glass.

[lawyerlarry]

"Yes, and hand signals. It's all the rage." He lifted his glass too, but it was empty. He got up and moved across to the bar so he could pour himself another drink.

"Refill?"

She nodded, holding out her glass to him so he could pour her more. "Yes."

[lawyerlarry]

He did so, reminding himself to leave some money for Lorne, then set the bottle down on the bar. He settled himself onto a stool.

"Well then. What haven't we discussed about this place?"

"How long have you been here?" She asked curiously. "I assume it must be much longer than I have been."

[lawyerlarry]

He smirked a bit dryly. "Almost ten months," he said. "Feels longer every day."

"And I thought getting stuck here for just three months was bad," She mused, taking a sip of her drink.

[lawyerlarry]

There was a head shake then. "You haven't seen anything yet, my dear."

[buryyoualive]

"The best is yet to come?" She asked, perking a brow.

[lawyerlarry]

"The best...the worse...however you want to word it," he replied. He sipped his drink again.
