Lilah for the most part kept to herself during her stay here in Caritas. After all, she normally wouldn't be caught dead in this place (except for when she came to try to rile up Wesley), but considering it was a sanctuary and she didn't particularly feel like leaving herself around the castle as bait for Faith

"You would be correct." Note the lack of enthusiasm in her voice. The whole situation wasn't something she particularly happy about.

His brow went up. He did hear that tone. "Not your first choice?"

"Hardly." But a sanctuary was a sanctuary, and it sure as hell beat letting Faith kill her, even if death wouldn't last here.

[lawyerlarry]

"Then what's making you stay?" He asked.

[buryyoualive]

"This place is a sanctuary." And she didn't want to put herself in danger if she didn't have to.

[lawyerlarry]

"I won't pretend to understand what's going on, but...it's good. That you're choosing to stay here even though you don't want to. Some might choose stubbornness instead and get themselves into trouble."

"I'm stubborn, but I also like being alive, and though death isn't permenant here, it's not something I want to go through, you know?" She asked, taking a drink from her glass now. Self-preservation came before just about anything else for Lilah.

"I'd rate being alive as a good thing no matter where you are," he nodded. "I can imagine being dead for two weeks and coming back could be...disorienting." He doesn't know, and he would prefer not to find out.

"I would imagine so," She mused, taking another sip from her drink. "I'm certainly not lining up to find out."

"No, no, me either. I don't know who would, but I wouldn't put it past some of the residents here." That is just his way of saying there are some...interesting residents around.

"Neither would I. Some of the people here definitely seem...rather unusual." Which she had mostly learned from observation more than anything else. Lilah spent a lot of her free time going over the journals, filing away any information that might come in handy for her later.

"Unusual is one word for it," he chuckled. "Some edge on the side of frightening, some just make you go....hmmmmm."

"I don't think I've met any that I've found truly frightening just yet. Bt a few have definitely made me go hmmmmmm," She mused with soft laugh.

He shrugged. "I'm not exactly used to the supernatural side of things where I'm from. I know some are...and I assume you're one of them? If you're from Lorne's world."

She nodded. "You would be correct in that assumption, I am familiar with the supernatural, though I'm just human myself." She smirked. "Of course, I've been told that lawyers are like a new breed of demons a few times."
