Chase was deciding on what movie to watch since it was his day off. He had been avoiding walking about the castle because of the stupid kissing curse going around.

"Why do you always blame me for every weird thing that happens around here? You know what the castle's like." He stood up and put his book down. "Just leave the front door open and I'm sure it'll fly out."

Jo could hear him talking, but honestly she wasn't even sure how upset to be. Knowing her own personal luck, she'd managed to stay away from the birds for a day only to have the castle shove one in her room in retaliation.

"I'm not blaming you, I was asking you."

"It sounded like an accusation." He shrugged. "Don't you think you ought to get your jacket and run off before you know what happens?" Chase waggled his eyebrows playfully.

"Nice dress, by the way."

[huntersdaughter]

She didn't exactly respond to his warning, instead she just glared at him from across the room.

"I'm getting my jacket, I wasn't expected to get ambushed by a bird, is all."

Of course, as she's talking the damn thing keeps flying around. Over this way and then that way.

"You're too close to the door," Jo stated, keeping her hands on her hips as if she expected him to travel some ridiculous way to avoid what he was warning her about.
