With the snow fall coming down around him as he sat in the edge of the forest, Travis was beginning to feel as though it were time to make his move into town and secure himself some lodgings. It was getting to the point where he couldn't stay out here anymore, lest he freeze and die an awful and forgettable death. And that was hardly a fitting end for the killer in any state of mind, including the one he was in right now.

He still couldn't get over what he had done to his bro. Loss or not, his sword, his attack, his kill. And it ate away at him like a cancer. After Ryoki, no one else had tried to find him, and that was good. He had spent his time taking inventory, and reevaluating who he was here.

The snow muted the world around him, making the silence painful. But then he heard it. The bike. And as best he knew, there was only a few people with bikes here. Travis' first instinct was to run out and hide his own bike, but he knew he would never had enough time.

God help if it was someone looking for blood. He wasn't in the mood.

It had taken Tear two days to collect herself when it happened. Assisting at the clinic was not an option that day and she felt indebted to Cloud for taking her shift so that she could grieve by herself.

But what was once a mind clouded and torn apart by over-powering emotions was now clear. When Cloud asked her to accompany him in his search for Travis she agreed to it. In a way it was how she could repay him for before. On another level of thinking, however, it was something more. Loss or not, she wanted to speak to Travis herself. With an expression that remained blank she sat perfectly still on Cloud's bike. Her hair had been plaited into a braid to keep it from flying around everywhere along with the snow that was kicked up from the vehicle.

Cloud had spotted the bike, the one that Travis hadn't bothered to hide, and he knew this was it. How fortunate of them... Now they could do this properly. Cloud hadn't gone after Travis like this from the beginning because he knew how it felt to need to take time. That was the side of Cloud that understood what he could do for the fonist as she took those days to collect herself, when he told her that he was coming back and they'd all be together again. He'd gladly take that shift for her or for anyone else if it meant it helped them ( ... )

The dying of the engine made it clear to Travis why it was this far out in the first place, and under his breath he cursed. The snowfall would make it impossible to make a quick exit, because it would leave tracks for whoever had shown up. And with his money being that it was Cloud out here, he felt safe assuming the heroic bastard would find him before he gave up. He was caught in between a rock and a hard place. And the rock was flying and had homing missile capabilities.

He wasn't far from the road, due north west into the forest and hiding amidst a pile of fallen trees. He wasn't about to entertain the thought that he would be passed by accidentally, because that's just not how this gig worked. As much as he wished he wasn't, he was caught up in a cliche and there was no easy way out.

"Fucking bullshit." He grumbled under his breath as it floated upwards in front of him.

Sliding off the bike, the short heels of her shoes crunched the snow beneath her as Tear stood up. She had nodded back to Cloud as her hand reached behind her back. Gloved fingers curled around the staff she had secured in place with a make-shift holster designed for it.

It had certainly been easier this way instead of trying to hold onto it while traveling on the bike.

Tear glanced up at the sky, watching her own breath for just a moment. She had to maintain a clear head for this. In times like these she was forever grateful to Legretta for her methods of training when she was younger. Emotions had to be kept in check otherwise her judgment would be clouded. After one deep breath she looked to Cloud once more, waiting for him to take the lead.
