Chie shivered as she zipped up her worn, green jacket. She took a moment to examine the beat up thing, before shoving her hands into her pockets and playing with a hole inside of it as she waited. Chie needed new clothes for sure, there was no way she'd make it through winter wearing something so beat up. Even if it was her favorite jacket.

"Phew.. Guess the weather's on our side today!" Chie said, glacing up at the sky. "Still, it's nice to see we're getting rain again."

"It is, isn't it?" Yukiko replied, giving a smile to her friend. "Even if it has made it hard to get out more."

Yukiko had donned her casual outfit for this outing, red scarf tied securely around her neck. She bunched herself into her shoulders against the cold weather, letting out a breath. "I hope it doesn't rain today."

Chie decided she'd keep on her toes to stay warm. She made her way to and around several small puddles as she walked. After settling in the middle of a large, but shallow one Chie rocked back and forth on her heels as she replied. "I hope it doesn't either.. I'd feel a bit bad, making all the guys carry everything."

She stopped for a moment to let the ripples settle, staring at the clouds slowly rolling by in its reflection.

"I think shopping with all of us is punishment enough?" she continued, laughing.

"Probably. Do you rememer the last time it happened?" Just the memory coaxes a laugh out of her. "Yosuke-kun acted like it was a death sentence."

Misa linked her arm with the person nearest to her, pointing at a line of shops ahead. "That's it! Those are best to hit first. You can get your basics and then accessorize later."

Think what you may of her, but Misa is a shopping guru. A gust of wind sent a mask of knitted cotton in her eyes, and Misa stopped to straighten her striped scarf. It was cold, but she was still wearing a mini skirt over thick leggings and knee high boots. Even in Paradisa, Misa still felt like she had to dress like an idol. She imagined that this look would've been popular three years in the future in Tokyo, on runways and stuff, especially with the chic black leather jacket. Leather is always hot.

"Kiko-chan needs warmer clothes and Chie--right?" She looked her up and down. "Um, let's just start from scratch, okay?"

"Which one?"

Yukiko, thankfully for her modesty, had avoided the linking; that probably went to Chie, or Kanji-kun, or whoever would fluster even more. She followed Misa's finger to a line of shops. "We do, but...shouldn't there be sweaters or something first?"

"You know, you have to check everywhere!" Misa chastised, wagging a finger at her. "I'm sure we'll find sweaters, too!"

She leaned back to look over everyone. Wow, in a group like this, having name-seeing eyes really was helpful. Unfortunately, some of them really needed a stylist's help...

"If you say so," she admitted, giving a small smile. Those eyes would give her a big advantage over Yukiko in one respect; she'd be the only one not from Shibuya to actually know Beat's true name. "I'm really just looking for something simple right now."

The last time Cordelia went shopping was so long ago she couldn't even remember when it was. How sad was that? And in Paradisa the excursion seemed pretty pointless since people got what they wanted just by asking. But Cordy was feeling cooped up in her room and shopping had therapeutical value, even if you never actually bought anything.

Plus, if she was going to revive the theater and be a star, she needed a whole new wardrobe!! So she set out and started browsing the stores.

Shiki spotted Cordelia browsing around.

"Hey!" She said. "Are you Cordelia?"

Not that she had been doing that to every woman she met. She had recognized a bit of her voice, but wanted to confirm.

Cordelia turned at the voice and flashed a bright smile. She didn't recognize the face but the voice was kind of familiar.

"Yep, that's me!" she said happily. "And you're..." She searched her memory. "Shiki?"

"Yeah!" She held out her hand. "It's great to meet you in person."

She looked around the store. "So what kinds of things are you looking for?"

The air was crisp. That was the first sign of the approaching winter, and while others would complain, Souji didn't mind it. The chill wasn't bothersome, and in fact helped him feel a little more alert. His hands were still being kept warm inside the pockets of his gray jacket, though ( ... )

That...is a very good question. fanassaults November 14 2009, 22:11:52 UTC
At some point, Yukiko had disengaged herself from Chie and the other girls to move over to Souji; it would be unfair to just hang around the same people all day, either. She approched to stand next to him as he stepped back, a small smile on her face. He always did have a tendency to get lost in his own thoughts on occasion.

"See anything you like?" she asked, clasping her hands behind her back.

"Yukiko," Souji said, giving his classmate a small smile as he nodded to her. Others would address her with a "chan" or "san" added onto the end, but his more familiar lack of a suffix showed just how close they had become in his time in Inaba. He turned from her to look back at the store in question. "I haven't found anything yet," was his answer to her question. Of course, it's not as if he had examined the store's merchandise closely- only observed what was on display. While it had several items of good quality, none of it was quite what he had in mind for his own wardrobe, and none of it was made for children, to make a good gift for his "little sister."

"Let us know if you do, okay? I'd like your opinion on my choices too," she said, her lips quirking wider. The feeling was very much mutual; if not for her traditional upbringing, she would have long since abandoned the -kun on his name, too. Yukiko is more than happy to just stand next to her friend, looking over the merchandise.

"Oh, that's right; are you looking for anything in particular? I wouldn't want us to spend all our time just in the more feminine stores, if you wanted some new things, too."

Beat shoved his hands in his pockets and stared down the street, scoping it out for anything interesting and doing his best not to look cold.

Though it wasn't completely alien to him, Beat wasn't all that accustomed to cold weather. Back in Tokyo, the temperature rarely dropped below freezing point. So, begrudgingly, Beat had thrown on whatever looked warmest (his hat, a hoodie he'd sworn he'd lost in the wash back home, and whatever pants he'd laid his hands on first) and walked out with the rest of them, barely (he assumed) batting an eye.

It was still cold, though.

Standing around outside waiting for the girls to do their girly shopping didn't bother him too much (he'd done it for others, and Shibuya had always been full of long lines), and neither did carrying whatever bags they'd accumulated so far-- there were surprisingly few, but it was early yet. Heck, he was enjoying himself, out on the streets with in a big group like this, and it wasn't like he was the only guy though he barely knew the others. So what was a little ( ... )

Beat's certainly got the right idea, and he was rewarded with a real smile as Yukiko saw him, not that sickly smirk of her Shadow. He might notice some...altered dimensions, the thought enough to make Yukiko retreat in her modesty as she approached. Oh dear. Should she just make like Kanji and charge through the awkwardness? She cleared her throat as she stopped in front of him, feeling intensely awkward.

"...hello, Beat."

Though much different than before, Beat still recognized Yukiko from their previous... encounter. It was more of a relief than a disappointment to see her like this, though.

He gave her a nod, grinning back. "Yo."

His cheeks were flushing, but seriously, it was cold out.

Of course, the cold. That must be it. She gives an extra nod in greeting, clasping her elbow behind her back. This didn't feel too awkward...and he certainly didn't look disappointed.

"It looks like we chose the right time, didn't we? The weather's really taking a turn for the colder."
