Misa linked her arm with the person nearest to her, pointing at a line of shops ahead. "That's it! Those are best to hit first. You can get your basics and then accessorize later."

Think what you may of her, but Misa is a shopping guru. A gust of wind sent a mask of knitted cotton in her eyes, and Misa stopped to straighten her striped scarf. It was cold, but she was still wearing a mini skirt over thick leggings and knee high boots. Even in Paradisa, Misa still felt like she had to dress like an idol. She imagined that this look would've been popular three years in the future in Tokyo, on runways and stuff, especially with the chic black leather jacket. Leather is always hot.

"Kiko-chan needs warmer clothes and Chie--right?" She looked her up and down. "Um, let's just start from scratch, okay?"

"Which one?"

Yukiko, thankfully for her modesty, had avoided the linking; that probably went to Chie, or Kanji-kun, or whoever would fluster even more. She followed Misa's finger to a line of shops. "We do, but...shouldn't there be sweaters or something first?"

"You know, you have to check everywhere!" Misa chastised, wagging a finger at her. "I'm sure we'll find sweaters, too!"

She leaned back to look over everyone. Wow, in a group like this, having name-seeing eyes really was helpful. Unfortunately, some of them really needed a stylist's help...

"If you say so," she admitted, giving a small smile. Those eyes would give her a big advantage over Yukiko in one respect; she'd be the only one not from Shibuya to actually know Beat's true name. "I'm really just looking for something simple right now."

"Kiko-chan needs to take risks," she sighed. "I think you always like simple."

Aliases where the part that she hated about the eyes... trying to remember what people go by without slipping up was hard for someone as impulsive as her. It's partly why she gives most people her own nickname. It was easier to remember. Plus it seems more friendly. Hopefully, she'd recognize Beat's funny way of speaking before she said something stupid.

"Are you and Chie really close?"

"After wearing kimonos all the time at the inn, simple is a bit of a relief," she countered, only a little defensively. The question gave her pause, though, and she nodded, a warm smile on her face. "Very. We've been best friends since we were children."

Yeah, Chie would leave the arm linking to someone who 'deserved' it.

"Yep! And you're Misa-san, right? Nice to meet you!" She replied with a small smile.

Misa generally linked arms indiscriminately, so it really could be anyone.

"Ah ha, you don't have to be so formal," she laughed, brushing her hair out of her eyes. Wind in Paradisa was still kind of weird for her. "Misa-Misa is fine. It's nice to meet you, too!"

Chie stuck her hands deep into her jacket pockets. Sure, the rain was gone, but the breeze still stuck around. She began rocking back and forth on her heels to keep warm before answering Misa.

"All righty then, Misa-Misa! Are you, uh, ready for this shopping we've got ahead of us?" she said, trying her best to sound pumped.

Shiki was surprised by the arm-linking but giggled. She hadn't done this in a long time! She wouldn't dare link her arm with Joshua, not out of fear, but out of the perpetual feeling of distance the boy seemed to radiate.

She was very satisisfied by the tastes of some of her fellow shoppers. She herself had chosen to wear more modest and simple clothes compared to what she normally wore. For this trip, she decided on a turtleneck, peacoat, skinny pants, and fur-lined (fake of course) boots.

"Oh totally!" Shiki exclaimed at Misa's comment on the line of stores. "Those have a pretty big selection."

It was getting a little colder, and while it was a wonderful opportunity to try out the new turtleneck that had been growing dusty in the back of his decidedly full wardrobe, he wasn't looking forward to the prospect of freezing this winter. Again. Still, this was Shiki's trip to Dr. Shopping, and what kind of friend would he be if he wasn't going to play the role of moral support?

He sees Shiki among a group of girls (and one boy) that he hadn't the pleasure of meeting yet... And one he had. "Fancy seeing you here. Room for one more?" Looking directly at the blonde, he put a hand under his chin and hummed. Now, where had they met before...?

She blinked at Joshua's question and grinned. "Sure!" she exclaimed, offering her arm for linking. She noticed where his gaze was directed, and that grin only widened a bit.

"Joshua, this is Misa-Misa! Misa-Misa, this is Joshua. He's a friend from home, but we met here."

Fortunately, Shi-chan had taste. Someone needed to not be hopeless on this trip. Kiko-chan is way too modest to find anything really daring.

Misa shifted her gaze away from the shops to the new boy. Oh, that guy.

"Yeah! I remember you! You're that guy from when our memories were all over the place."

Which means he's also the person she told about her eyes. Uh oh, she would have to keep an ...eye on this situation. Instead, she said, "I didn't know you liked shopping! And you're both from the same place?"

"Aha, Misa! We've met, Shiki." Joshua laughed, linking his arm through Shiki's and giving Misa a wave. "Hello, my dearest friend!"

"We're both Shibuya-locals, but we hadn't run into each other until recently." Joshua turned to Shiki and smiled. "Fate, hmm? We did have one or two mutual friends back in Shibuya, after all."

"You still owe me a story," she clucked her tongue and wagged a finger at him. She wanted to know who he really was. He had interesting memories.

Wanting to get back on track with shopping, she tugged forward. "Come on, let's walk and talk! We have a lot of shops to hit. So are you glad you met?"

Well that was interesting. Joshua owed Misa-Misa a story? She briefly wondered what Joshua does end up filtering to various people, but she shrugged it off. It wasn't her business to know private conversations regardless of how much she wanted to know (and subsequently gossip).

"Definitely!" Shiki laughed. "Out of everyone from home here, Joshua is the most fashion trendy."
