"What was that?"

That was really all Cassie could say.

Diana clenches her fists, shoulders stiffening a bit.

"What careless actions." She glances back at Booster, then at Cole. "Please warn us next time."

Ino glanced over at Cole with an annoyed look, feeling her hair frizz already. Great, not only was she stuck in an elevator with a bunch of people, but her hair was going to look horrible by the time she got out of here. She reached up, running her fingers through her hair carefully.

'I could just ignore her, and wait it out...bored to tears. Or I could let loose a little static, mess with her head...and her hair.'

He rolls his eyes at Ino, subtly, knowing exactly what she's doing. Were he a lesser man, he'd have put a little static charge into the air just to mess with her. But he does nothing of the sort, going back to silence and his lonesome.

Don't be a douche, Cole. This girl can punch you through the wall.

Hey, wait ... Ino's face lit up with an idea. "Hey, can I get to the doors, please?"

"This oughta be good." He muttered under his breath, deciding to watch what unfolds.

Pffff. Whateva.

She waited until there was a big enough space for her to at least get a good hit in on the door. She pulled her fist back, summoning enough chakra to make her arm glow, before throwing a punch that .. would normally make a big crater into the doors.

They didn't even dent.

"What the hell?!" Ino said loudly, her voice a little higher-pitched than normal due to irritation.

He would have laughed, but he didn't. Instead, he tilted his head and glanced at her fist thoughtfully.

"Door's fine. Not surprised. What about your hand?"

Ino pulled her fist away from the door, not surprised to see some bleeding. She sighed in irritation, placing her other hand (now glowing green) over it momentarily. After it was healed, she moved the fingers in the hand she used to punch the doors. Good as new!

"It's fine."

Shrugs slightly. "Something tells me we're not going anywhere, no matter what any of us can do." He sighs, and wonders how long he can go without losing his shit.

"Better settle in for a long haul."

[yamanaka]

"It seems that way. It would just be nice if I could get from Point A to Point B every once in awhile without any problems." She sighs, too, and leans against the door. This guy sounded familiar, actually, but she didn't want to jump to conclusions.

He already knows who you are, thanks to introductions. You're crackhead number one. And an idiot that punches doors, apparently.

"Yeah, that would be nice, now wouldn't it. Pity life's a bitch."

She glanced up, arms crossed now, a halfway amused look on her face. And fuck that introduction stuff, who pays attention to that.

"Bit of a cynic, huh?"

"Sometimes cynical, sometimes idealistic. Depends on the time of day." Not like life hasn't given him every goddamn reason to be.
