Yugito was still trying to figure out if being a friend to Ten made her a friend to Eight, but after what Neku told her, the answer was no until she'd spent time in Eight's company. She was far from opposed, people of all sorts of different kinds and species were interesting to be around, but it did make the whole "let's be friends" business much more active and difficult than Yugito had initially presumed.

She spotted who she was going to presume was eight, raising her hand in a half-wave and calling out. "Eight, is that you?" Her escort job had instilled these sorts of habits. It was a bit irritating to learn that complete strangers would just follower her around for no particular reason saying they were someone else, particularly when you had someone paying for your apparent protection waiting somewhere else.

Eight had just about given up on the Cat's Cradle, when he heard his name -- number? -- called out. He glanced up, grinned, and stuffed the string back into one of his pockets as the other approached.

"Ah, hello! Yugito, I presume?"

Yugito smiled, and replied with a slight bow. "For better or worse, that I am."

Curious, she looked at the somewhat worn box, but didn't choose to comment. "What were you doing with that string a moment ago?"

Eight ducked his head, a little sheepish. "Ah, it's called Cat's Cradle. It's a children's game on Earth, played with bits of string."

He noted her glance at the TARDIS, and gestured towards it, with a proud little smile. "Anyway, here she is!"
