Eight was in a particularly pleasant mood -- the sun was shining (as per usual), nothing had attacked/transformed/etc in the past few weeks (which could be a bad sign, but he was determined to enjoy it), he'd done a few minor repairs to the TARDIS, he and his self had fiddled a bit with the makeshift transduction barrier they had built, and he'd made a new friend.
It was this new friend -- Yugito, he reminded himself -- that he was waiting for, leaning against a slightly careworn blue box that was, in fact his ship. He was also toying with a bit of string, and vainly trying to remember how a Cat's Cradle went.
