The door was opened half a second after a knock, Jack standing there calming with his RAF coat on and hair looking as if he had just got out of bed... which he had. A few moments of sleep that was riddled with nightmares, but the Doctor didn't need to know that; Jack considered himself lucky for being from the 51st century; the bags underneath his eyes weren't as visible. "You don't look so good," Considering what had happened (Jack knew the outcome because he is just brilliant like that) it wasn't much of a surprise.
"Didn't you sleep last night?" Small talk, the kill the silence. It was all he could do right now.

He shrugged.
"Might've. You know me, always busy with something. You wouldn't believe how often I forget to sleep." Avoid the issue, of course. Same old story.

"Come on, not gonna do us any good standing around here." Without warning he waltzed out, letting the door slam close behind him and grabbed hold of the back of the Doctor's collar, tugging him along a little.
He was rather silent for a few moments before something hit him. "You didn't have to knock you know, the door was already open."

"How was I supposed to know?" The Doctor frowned, shrugged. "Well. Then again, s'only me, why lock the door? Oh, well." He sniffed idly. "Anyway."
