Who: Speed, Kitty, and Ruby (reserve order? lawl.) What: Meeting up and introducing and stuff When: Tomorrow morning Where: The kitchen Rating: PG-13, just in case
Waking up in her new room, Kitty felt more than a little disoriented before remembering where she was. New world, new bedroom.. first morning in Paradisa. There was a brief moment where she simply glanced blearily around her room, before it occurred to her that she had plans for the morning

Speed nearly wished he had a newspaper, but the journal was the next best thing and easily served the same purpose. He opened it up and set it on the table in front of him, glancing over it as he ate a small breakfast and consumed his coffee like it was his life's blood. He read slowly and ate his bowl of fruits with almost the small amount of speed

"Hey!" Kitty greeted cheerily, moving from the door to where he sat. She'd brightened up considerably when he said her name, glad that she'd found the right person after all. Having not really known what to expect, she'd hoped for the addition of a five-inch furry dragon to give her a clue. But he seemed nice in person, so she sat down on one of the seats nearby.
"Speed, right?" she asked, making sure she'd gotten the name right. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long, it's not like I have my alarm clock in this place."
She glanced at the bowl of fruit that was his breakfast, then took another look around the kitchen. Aya had said that it was okay to just take things, hadn't she? It felt a little strange, but then again, there was nobody from whom she could get permission anyways.
"Yea, that's me." He smiled. "It's ok. I naturally get up early," he lied easily. "I didn't figure you'd get up any earlier than normal just for me anyway." He smiled again to enforce his truthfulness on that statement.
He saw her glance and took an educated guess on what she was thinking about. "It's a free-for-all here; anything in the kitchen is yours for the taking. Well, unless it's already in the hands of someone else." He grinned to indicate the joke. Boy was he being corny today, not to mention smiling a lot. Suddenly he was immensely glad that Ruby wasn't around to notice. Yet, he reminded himself.
"Go ahead and grab something. We've got time before we disturb the 'nasty' dragon."
Ruby had woken at 9:30 that morning after her first night of decent sleep in days. She still couldn't sleep well on her own... but after a few days of not really sleeping at all she didn't have much of a choice in the matter. It had started working pretty well for her. Sleep terribly for three or four days then get a night of fantastic, deep, I may as well not be alive sleep. She'd gotten used to the pattern

She nodded and set her spoon near the sink, tossing the grapefruit peels into the nearest trashcan before heading off after him. Her journal had been left in her room, since she'd supposed she wouldn't need it. Getting into the habit of carrying it around would probably be a good idea..
When they stepped outside, it was only a little while before something large and pink came around from the other side of the castle. Her jaw fell open slightly, not that she could help it-- she'd never seen anything like that in her entire life. When the dragon finally came to a rest in front of them, Kitty looked up.. and up.. and up until she could see her head.
"..Hi," Kitty called up at her, finally. She waved, her face splitting in a grin. "You must be Ruby!"
Speedle just barely managed to keep from chuckling at the sight of Kitty's face and somehow also managed to keep a straight face on top of that. He blinked rapidly a few times to focus his poker face expression, then glanced up at Ruby and gave a small wave. "Hey, Ruby."
He paused for a moment to let Kitty catch her breath and get acquainted with the sight of a giant (pink) dragon. Then he looked at Kitty. "Kitty, this is Ruby." Looking up to Ruby. "Ruby, Kitty." He did a slight flourish with his wrist that fluttered his hand from first one person and then to the next. There, introductions complete. Another day accomplished.
Ruby dropped her head down to the level of the two humans as Speed addressed her. "Hey, Speed," she responded simply and cheerfully to his greeting. She tilted her enormous head as he introduced her to Kitty. Aha! This was the 'short people unite' girl. She seemed like a sweet little thing when Ruby'd met her over the journal.
Ruby gave Kitty a toothy smile then realized that that wasn't possibly the best idea and closed her lips abruptly. Instead she flicked her long ears forward (which always looked a little silly) then nodded to kitty, "Nice to meet you Kitty," she said then stretched her wings before refolding them more comfortably. She chuckled softly, "I guess I fail at the short people unite business today. I'm not tall for my kind, though, if that counts."
