Being as Leon was on a higher floor than Selphie, and the elevator didn't go much faster than a constant speed, and he didn't really feel like taking the stairs 15 some floors down... He got their later than Selphie, but not by too long. He could hear everything--the ding of the elevator, the sound of his footsteps, other voices, Selphie's whistling. It was useful, but he'd gotten so used to not hearing that it also got a little annoying. Eitherway, it was Selphie's belated birthday, and he figured he'd play nice guy and help make it a nice belated birthday.

After all, breaking into bakeries were all girls really wanted. Though, he had no idea what to get her as a present, but figured something yellow might do it. He'd get it later, when she wasn't looking.

"Hey," he said once he saw her, walking over and ruffling the hair on her head. "Happy birthday, kid."

"Hi Leon!" Selphie replied cheerfully, smiling at her friend when she saw him. After all this time, the fact that he was essentially Squall's twin didn't phase her anymore. She knew both well enough to conclude that they looked eerily alike, but they acted pretty different. Squall was Squall and Leon was Leon.

She laughed as her hair was messed up. "Heeey, that's a weird way to say happy birthday!" The girl batted at Leon's hand and went to fixing her hair with a few brushes of her fingers through it.

"Thanks for hanging out with me~"

Leon snorted mildly, shaking his head, his own mane of hair ruffling about his shoulders. He needed to cut it, eventually. And it felt like he hadn't seen Selphie in a long while; he'd mostly been doing... nothing, really, now that he'd thought of it. Same old Leon, he supposed. Such massive amounts of boredom, besides training.

"Sure," he said. "We haven't seen eachother in awhile."

"Guess it takes my birthday for that to happen!" Selphie grabbed onto Leon's arm and began leading him outside. She wasn't sure if he was serious about breaking into a bakery to get some cake, but a walk would be nice, too.

She grinned up at him. "So, what's it like to hear again?"

Leon grunted out a noise, letting her take his arm as he stuffed his hands into his jacket pockets. He led the way, but looked to her with a raised eyebrow briefly.

"Well, it means I have to listen to you speaking..." Which really wasn't that bad, but he was teasing. "It's fine, I guess."
