For some reason, Selphie didn't feel as excited about her (belated) birthday as she thought she would be. She was happy, but there was something missing. She guessed it was because she always imagined her birthdays to be spent in Balamb with all her friends there, or maybe even in Trabia with everyone freezing in the snow they weren't used to as she blew out some candles.
But at least she remembered now, so she was happy. And she was going to hang out with Leon--and he was actually going to be able to hear her! That was pretty neat, too.
Waiting at the bottom of the stairs, Selphie whistled to herself. Eighteen didn't feel all that different from seventeen...
