Lente's Point Expedition - Day 1

[The sound of a pair of TARDII warping in disturbs the bucolic peace of this place. The doors come open and the travelers, some perhaps a little worse for the wear after that abrupt trip, walk out into the morning sunshine.

It's time to begin the trek southward.]

ARRIVAL

[The residents exit the TARDII and begin to unload their supplies.

The UNSC team is not far off, waiting at the border for everyone else to arrive]

[Daine exits the TARDIS, leading the horses as she mentally explains what the explorers will need from them. Behave, don't bite or buck and most of all, be patient with the riders. It's not their fault they don't speak horse.

So, here stands a curly haired brunette surrounded by many horses, which seem to have their attention fixed on her.]

[Felix is coming up behind her, his eyes on the group of oddly-focused equines]

[She glances over before nodding absently, her focus still on briefing the mounts.]

TRAVELING

[It is a relatively easy journey as the expedition team begins their journey, some on foot, some mounted. Plenty of time to talk. Felix isn't pushing for a terribly fast pace, at any rate. There is lots to see.

The terrain slopes gently and consistently upward, thick trees covering most of them. Who knows what might be within?]

[ akihiko of course, is on foot. he's currently digging into his pockets to find his gloves and koromaru walks alongside him, sniffing the air with a new found curiosity. ]

[Aradia, also on foot, catches sight of him and trots to catch up. She's got a large backpack, though, so she's breathing a little heavily by the time he's in earshot.]

Hey... Akihiko! [WAIT UP DUDE]

he stops and so does koromaru, both looking back to see her and he grimaces seeing how much she's lugging with her. in fact, her offers a hand when she's closer. ]

Aradia? I didn't realize you were coming.

Uh... do you need help?

IN THE TREES

[What is at first lush, gently rolling hills eventually becomes a dense forest, their thick winding roots sprawling all across the terrain

[She's used to navigating roots, both on foot and on a skiff. A necessity after years of dwelling inside a mangrove forest. She moves silently, eyes taking in every detail they can, but she doesn't move far from the group. Her everything is gone. The little power she had retained, the little more she had attained through the practice of magic. For the first time, she feels very, very human...and very, very anxious. Her feelings are clearly evident on her face.]

[He's used to navigating forests, hunting being a hobby of his, as well as the rush of bandits he often has to chase through the woods surrounding his kingdom. However, this is definitely something else, and it's not too long before he trips over something he hadn't expected to find and narrowly misses running into her. But it does cause him to note that someone looks less than pleased to be here]

[The moment the TARDIS touched down, River Song was one of the first ones to head out and explore. With a backpack slung over her shoulder, a knife strapped to her hip Her wild mass of untamed blonde curls pulled back into a manageable pony tail. She's the furthest out from the TARDIS and she seems pretty fearless about trekking these uncharted regions.]

[Steps out next to her, adjusting his bow tie with a grin.]

[Glancing around, she takes scope of the landscape]

Does the sonic screwdriver even work out here?

[He smirks. Which question was that referring to? That's anyone's guess. He tweaks her nose and starts walking.]
