Chatting with your hiking buddy? Theorizing about what's ahead? Philosophical debates about this world? Do all that here... while you can.

Looking for the next award-winning snapshot? [A little dry humor for your walk, Lana?]

[ Always! ]

Well, I figure this is the most accurate way to collect data about this place, don't you? Over time, our memories and accounts may fade, but the pictures will still be around.

It's too bad we didn't have these crystals for some of the older expeditions.

Yes, they really would have been handy. [She glances at her own, integrated and running her robotic arm as well as it could. Although not as fluid as she was used to, it was far more desireable then having no use of the arm in the first place.]

So have you found anything interesting so far?

Lots of interesting things, but I don't know about useful. It would be really interesting if we could find a way to translate the carvings, or find what's supposed to go in those puzzle slots.

Ah yes, the difference between interesting and useful.

I want to take a look at those carvings when we get more time. I was a cryptanalyst back home, and although it was for programming, I had to decipher a lot of Covenant glyphs. Shouldn't be much different, I'm thinking.

Oh yeah? Well then I'll be sure and send you copies of the photos after I have them developed.

I appreciate it. I couldn't really bring a camera; had to use my crystal for other things ... [It's nice having two arms this time.]

How do these meagre findings compare to the other expeditions you've been on, so far?

Hm, well... I think it's too soon to really compare. A lot of the times we usually run into someone by now? Either hostile or friendly.

But there's definitely something...here. Whether it's actually alive or not, I just can't tell.

Maybe they're running late.

Let's hope not and staying that way and prepare for the opposite.

I'm fully on-board there. I have my own experience with ancient tombs gone wrong.

Oh? Care to elaborate, or is it far too terrifying to relive?

[ Her brow furrows a bit, form tensing. That's enough of an answer, really. ]

Nothing of interest. But everyone should be careful what they touch, is all I'm saying.

[Kat's astute enough to take that as let's not go there so she's not going to push the subject. Even if her curiosity is piqued. Maybe there will be a better time.]

Sounds like good advice. [Not that she's likely to take it if she sees something of interest.]

Freakin' finches... who the hell prepares for freakin' mosquito finches...

I believe "prepare" has come to be a bit of an erroneous word where Paradisa is concerned.

[After no sleep and being bitten by birds, this girl is just as irritable.]
