RUMBLING AND CHAOSparadisamodsNovember 15 2011, 21:47:52 UTC
Suddenly, everything starts to shake. Dust and tiny shards of stone fall from the roof, dislodged by shaking, and the bridge gives an uncomfortable creak as the two pillars supporting its end jerk around. What's happening? Is a volcano erupting somewhere? Or is it... something else? Better hold onto something.
But no, the shaking isn't stopping. The bridge starts to crack, walls start to split to create new exits, and the ceiling begins pouring rubble in places. If the residents aren't careful, they might get split up.
[After the chaos of last night, he's stuck as close to Lana and Fred as he can. However, what he was expecting to happen was nothing like this, and he widens his stance immediately for balance, grabbing onto the smooth stone edges of the bridge with one hand, the other reflexively grabbing onto Lana's upper arm to keep her balanced as well]
[ And she, out of reflex, is grabbing for Fred's hand as well, trying to duck low to avoid being rocked right off the bridge. Of course that won't matter soon. ]

Who are you fucking kidding? No matter how careful they are, they're getting split up.
When it stops, residents might find themselves in a bit of a predicament. That is, all the collapsing and falling might have created a big problem: they're all split up, divided by rock walls and dropped floors and chasms and all sorts of nonsense. Curiously, though, it seems that nobody was too seriously hurt; maybe some bumps and bruises and scrapes from tripping or falling or getting some rock on you, but it's a little too convenient that such a serious shake-up could divide them without hurting anyone. Even the look of the fallen rock seems a little too organized, a little too deliberate.
Good thing we have those journals.

TEAM ONE AND TEAM TWOparadisamodsNovember 15 2011, 21:48:42 UTC
Shoot. Well, through the darkness and what's left of flashlights, torches and glowsticks, they can at least see each other... but unfortunately, Teams One and Two are divided by a 40-foot chasm... dropping a rock down it would reveal that there's at least a two-hundred foot fall onto rock. Team One's side has a narrow split in the wall that reveals a path on the other side, one that starts with a sharp, hard slope down, deeper into the caves, and Team Two's side has a conveniently-placed metal door with a touchpad on it. What the fuck, where did that come from? A huge rock wall obscures the other teams from view.
At least they can see and hear each other, but it looks like they don't have any choice but to go their own separate ways.
