[The day begins to come to a close as the expedition presses on. The coming darkness is even more obvious in the dim light of the canopy, and it soon becomes clear enough that a halt would have to be called.

I suppose I don't know. Given the environment of the previous expeditions, this doesn't entirely follow. Though expecting Paradisa to follow any kind of logic is probably pointless.

It was a pain having to sleep in the boats with everyone...and then we lost so much of our food too. [He makes that sound like that that is the most tragic thing to have ever happened to him in his life]
