s'all good ^^encryptedlockApril 21 2009, 22:48:45 UTC
Guy showed up from my world recently. [He flips open the journal to make note of the page number.]
Looks like he's talking to himself? He's not. The maniacal-sounding one is an AI, like Delta, only this one's a complete bastard. He can possess electronics, which is obviously a problem for people like us who wear power armor. But the way he moves around is by the radio.
[doesn't recognize that they've spoken over the journals, but he does recognize the sandwich. and it looks like a good sandwich. sort of stands there and looks at him for a moment]
Going to rain again, tonight, like always. Outside probably not the best place for sandwich.
[Gordon... would actually be very happy to see it rain. He hasn't been in rain for ages, and coming from the Washington area, it would be a welcome thing to be in again.]
[So have a shrug, Rorschach, after a nod of thanks for the advice. Wouldn't want to be rude, after all.]
[And something people likely don't see around the castle every day: zipping past Gordon is an orange, spherical blur. It passes by him outside, then suddenly backs up, pausing in front of him for a moment. Although it might look like to the casual observer that the ball's trying to get his attention, inside of the ball, the woman operating it is running scans on him using her on-board computers.]
[Gordon stares for a second, while the hand facing away from her readies his tire iron for a strike if whatever-it-is proves to be an enemy. He's running some scans of her own, although they're all of the "survival instinct" variety.]
[Samus finishes her scans. Although it would be easy for her to do the rude thing and take off again, the results are satisfactory and she can tell he's rattled him a bit, so she unfolds from her ball, standing in front of him. Just to let him see that she's a person, albeit one in unusual armor. Not necessarily because she's in the mood to chat.]
[Gordon visibly relaxes, and he gives her the look of respect due to... well, Gordon wouldn't consider himself a warrior, exactly, but to someone who fights, like he does.]

So, basically, if you have a radio? Don't use it.

[Then a thought occurs, and he holds up the journal. Can... it get through that?]
