Do you not grasp the challenge? Allow me to make it plain.
You can break an unbroken person. But when someone is broken, and broken again, it is about finding what they hold onto through it all. They are, perhaps, the strongest of us all in that regard, and pose the single greatest challenge to continue breaking.
There is an art and a challenge to taking the last of what some broken soul still has. They hold onto it with such ferocity. It makes losing it all the more painful for them. And it makes watching them lose it all the more pleasurable for you.
