[Zoe is walking along, Christmas doesn't mean too much to the non-religious who only has a couple of her crew here. But she catches someone familiar out of the corner of her eyes]
[ he pauses from where he's handing over a lunchbox, and smiles at the lady. she doesn't seem very familiar... a parent, perhaps? in any case, he approaches, cheerfully, a hand extended. ]
Goodday, Madame....? I apologise, my memory seems to have failed me.
[oh right one of these cases. Zoe had heard about it, through the journals. But she's never encountered another person she knew as a former resident until now]
[Christmas is not a day for giving tours, it's a day for FINDING PROBLEMS AND FIXING THEM. this is a Doctor tradition, world without end, so Five is out looking for Good Things To Do.
it's no wonder his travels lead him to this corner of Paris, and he sees the small crowd gathering around Albus' little piece of generosity. curiosity piqued, he pulls his coat a bit tighter against the cold and wanders up to see what's going on ...]
[ lunches and desserts shared out, the crowd disperses a bit, amid calls of 'bonnes fêtes' and 'joyeux noël'. albus is left there, crouching, chatting with a couple kids in rapid french. he doesn't seem to notice that he's being observed. he's currently letting them pick out which flavour of ice-cream they prefer. ]
[as the crowd parts, Five's struck dumb for the fourth time in a week - this is clearly a new record]
Well, I'll be dashed...!
[he shakes his head, already wise to the castle's newest game. Albus won't remember him at first, but - he's patient to some extent, always has been. he moves up and smiles at him]
[Durge is heading back to the apartment after working at the bar. He's feeling a little lonely given he's perceived there is a holiday today which he doesn't have anyone to celebrate with, and it only makes him think of the midwinter feast in Calavere again.
Hands in pockets, the knight is wandering past this scene. He pauses, looking down at the collection box contemplatively. A moment or two later he is pulling out his wallet, which contains the majority of his paycheck, and extracts all but a few bills, which he stoops to drop into the box]
[ he notices, and slips back into paradisa language, easily. ]
Not a sentiment expressed by many, in these times; hearing it gladdens me. Tell me sir -- if I might be so rude as to inquire -- are you visiting Paris for long?
[Hermione was walking down the street when she spots this person. She's seen pictures of a young Dumbledore so this young man makes her pause. She's not sure so she'll come up and put in some money]

Ahhh, I can think of a few things I need. You wouldn't happen to know of a way to make ice-creams multiply in a manner of seconds, would you, sir?

[ also to be polite: ] And you? You look to be about lycée age but I don't think I recognise you from any of the schools in the area.
