Dec 20, 2011 15:44

[Everyone seemed to have woke up with jobs already in place for them, so Alleyne was not surprised she had one lined up for her, too. Teaching, even. How convenient for her. She'd been signed up to teach philosophy in the mornings and coach martial arts as part of the health and exercise curriculum in the afternoons ( Read more... )

[WELL LOOK WHO'S IN THE FRONT ROW

if you... recognize her without the horns....
well the red mascara should be a dead giveaway in any case.]

[She'll be peeking over her book and marking down your name on a piece of paper. Man, human schools are too full of rigamarole and paperwork.]

You made it, Aradia.

[Nods!]

My hive isn't far, so I just walked. What are you teaching? Do human schools teach fighting?

[yeah.... her Parisian classmates are probably starting to get weirded out here.]

They don't appear to, which is a shame. The closest I can see is me overseeing a bit of exercise in the afternoons, but that's nowhere near enough to get anyone into proper shape.

[She'll put her book down and look confused at it.]

Human philosophy seems to be what I need to teach you all. It would be easier if I knew where to start. Perhaps I'll just make something up; I don't know who any of these people are.

If this guy can't find a reason to stay within that timeslot, he is leaving. or that's the plan anyway..........]

[We'll see about that. She sets her book down and pulls out a pen, looking to mark a spot under Aradia's name.]

So good of you to join us today.

Why the fuck are we even here?

Ah, now I know you're being a child about having to attend, but that is an excellent question, given the curriculum I have to teach now. You tell me, why do you think you're here?

[She'll cup her chin and wait for an answer, hrming a bit]

You're a teacher again, Miss Alleyne? How wonderful!

I'm teaching the older kids human philosophy, apparently. It's a pretty confusing subject, but it's good for them.

Ooh, it sounds tough... but I know you can do it!

It'd be easier if I knew who any of these people I'm supposed to be teaching about. Looks like Earth's had a short but busy history regarding this subject.

[Peering over the side of her book, tapping her pen, huffing a bit.]

Wake up.

[Edward turned her head, rolling her eyes to look up at Alleyne]

Not sleeping. Bored!

[Just going to...blink now]

...How can you be bored? I've not started class yet. Usually you kids wait until the teacher is talking to complain.

[Rose saunters in looking as though she would much rather be somewhere else. She wants Alleyne to at least feel like she made an effort to show up for a few minutes, but there are so many museums she wants to see! She'll probably scurry out after lunch.]

Not to be rude, Alleyne, but what precisely do you plan to teach us?

[Her attendance sheets are going to be littered with absences this week.]

Human philosophy, apparently. A good subject for young minds. or it would be, if I knew half of any of these terms my textbooks are throwing around.

I would be happy to help you out with a bit of explanation, if you wish.

[Know-it-all? Nooooooo, of course not...]

I may throw it out entirely and build my own curriculum; I'm seeing a lot of the same ideas thrown about here from home, so may as well. But if you have any idea who any of these people are, I'd appreciate it. They sound important, at least.

[They also all have huge moustaches and it is confusing her]
