[ Snuffling and then a wuff comes through the journal, followed by a thump, fwoosh, thwack, and scrabbling against stone surfaces. There's a yelp and then one loud bark, followed by... nothing

[... was totally sleeping in that hay, kitty 8| but he's still snoozing, despite all that ...

HOWEVER, captain blackpurrder will be peering curiously over the edge of the cart at her]

[ Sakura peers back up at this other cat. Her tail flicks, and her ears start to flatten against her skull. She doesn't know proper kitty body language, and she doesn't feel like getting into a fight.

She tenses, ready to run if she needs to. ]

[the captain will just stare at her before letting out a little, harmless meow. nah, he doesn't want to fight - he's just bored and wants to plaaay :3]

[haruno]

[ She waits, hunkering down, ears flicking forward, then back, then independently taking in the surrounding sounds. Her tail lashes back and forth, less frenzied now. ]

[optimystically]

[hm hm, walking out the door of the castle to see.......... a flying...... cat.....? asdkhsahghasdgah PANIC MODE KICKS IN, and she hurries to check if the cat is okay]

Super cat? [FIRST NAME THAT POPS TO MIND, THAT IS ONE BADASS CAT AFTER ALL, anyway, she sees the cat jump out of the hay] Whew.... that was intense!

[ Sakura had darted back under the cart when something large came toward her, overloading on her current senses and trying to calm her racing heart. She thinks she recognizes that voice... and peers out between some of the spokes of the wheels, looking up.

That might be Maya!

... Maybe. ]

[optimystically]

[she squats down and stares under the cart... poor scared cat :(]

You okay, little guy?

[haruno]

[ She meows... silently. Her mouth is partly opened, and she peeers out at Maya, sniffing. Not that this helps at first; she has no strong scent memory of Maya to ping to! ]

[nocturnalrage]

[WELL THAT WAS UNUSUAL. Piqued by the sudden increase in black things falling out of the sky, Toothless walks over to pile of hay, head fins perked forward as he sniffs at the straw.

Where are you black thing??]

[haruno]

[ About to pop out and bop Toothless in the nose. Yikes! ]

[nocturnalrage]

Startled, Toothless jumps back, eyes wide. After a few moments of stunned silence, he slinks forward, cautiously poking the heap of straw with a claw, a little croon escaping him.]

[haruno]

[ What was that?! Sakura claws through the hay carefully, poking her head out again -- right under Toothless's chin.

Why was it so dar-- LIVING CREATURE!

She holds absolutely still for a second. ]

[teds_up]

[Ted's spending more time outside these days. Despite it getting colder and colder, he's found he's enjoying time outside the castle a lot more than he's enjoying being inside it-- and it's probably no big surprise why.

So yeah, he's just kind of walking around outside when he sees A BLACK CAT. He automatically becomes suspicious and raises an eye at Sakura. Just... considering the time it was, he really wouldn't doubt it was the castle.

Though, why it would throw symbols of misfortune at him is a little beyond him. It's not as though the castle ever needed an excuse to just be plain mean to its residents, much less something like 'bad luck'.]

[haruno]

[ Halloweeeeeen is coming and the cat is oh so black. She's darting her way across part of the courtyard, making a beeline for the castle door. ]

[teds_up]

[Huh. That cat's in a hurry somewhere fast, isn't it? And he sees her direction, too. Problem is, the castle doors are pretty closed, so he's not sure how she's going to get in.

After a couple moments of consideration, he strolls over and opens the door.]

There ya go.

[Did he just unleash unspeakable horrorterrors unto the castle's residents?

Well, even if he did, it's not as though chaos wasn't a frequent factor in Paradisian life.]

[ Sakura pauses to nod at Ted in thanks, before darting in through the door. She had to -- she had to do something!

She wasn't sure what, yet, but something! ]
