...seein' stars fallin' like last night...you get to thinkin' how different it is, watchin' the sky from down here, instead of bein' up in it. There's some things about bein' planet-side that can't be beat, travelin' as much as we were...but I miss the Black. Seein' it from here just ain't the same.

[she waved back, eyes crinkling above a warm smile] Ain't seen you around in awhile.

Yeah, no, huh? [truth be told, he'd wanted to give her space and time to recover after having been kidnapped ... he knew she had closer friends here, ones who'd be better at helping her through than him - and now that she seemed back to normal, they could get to know each other. at least, he was hoping so]

Been busy - how about you?

[she laughs] Not sure if busy's the word for it, but...

[that smile widened...glittered, even] My cap'n's here. Just...from nothin'. Like they said, with him not even knowin' we'd been gone.

We've been helpin' him settle in an' all, much as one settles, 'round here.

It ain't really somethin' that you can compare to. At least, I ain't seen anything here that works for showin' what it can be like.

Oh, it's definitely that. You don't got sunrises or sunsets, mind. It ain't that sort of pretty. But bein' out in the stars and lookin' down on planets as you're comin' in to land?
