[After long enough that York began to get worried--and after securing Washington from his own mind--he decides it's probably a good idea to visit Kat. She'd mentioned it might be dangerous in her mind, after all, and he wanted to make sure she was okay with staying there.
God. Why don't more people just visit a psychiatrist? It sure had helped him and Delta.
Speaking of whom, his AI is in human form on York's left side. He felt oddly relaxed like this--normally he'd be stressing out, though long ago his eye had been healed--but York had absolute faith in the other person. Person. Now visibly and clearly just every much as person as York knew he was.
[Washington wasn't too far behind at finding out where Kat had headed. Even if he'd had to do a bit of first aid on his foot and is now moving with a limp. He knows Kat has as many demons as him if not more...
[It's not the room that used to be there. Still UNSC barracks in appearance, it's a long hallway, breaking off in different directions and containing a host of doors. One of the doors down the hall is slightly ajar, a soft glow of light and sounds of someone tapping on a keyboard issuing from it.]
[It was very hard for him to not recognize those familiar sounds of what a firefight back home was like, so there's just the slightest prickle on the back of his neck as he zoned in on the noises.
Then a loud, shrill whistle to catch the attention of the one who owned the journal - three guesses who.]
[that whistle certainly catches her attention, although it's still another moment before she notices the journal, her reply sharp. She's been a little ... preoccupied.]
Yes, mine too. [Her tone's guarded. There's definitely the sounds of something going on, but she doesn't seem to be directly involved in it. It is taking a large part of her attention, no matter how she tries to hide it.]
[Evidenced by the somewhat distracted pause that follows.] Hopefully yours doesn't have any Covvies in it ... ?
[Yuki is poking her head into the room. All the computers and mechanical things caught her attention while she was out in the hallway, and she's very interested in what exactly is going on here.
The first thing that she's staring at are the screens showing off various computer code. Ooh....
She's only taking a small step inside, though. Her attention is shifting to Kat's avatar, because she doesn't want to be intrusive or trespass.]
[Kat's avatar takes a few moment to notice Yuki, since she's busy trying to crack a line of Covenant transmission. She looks more or less as she does inthe castle, save for the fact that her right arm is flesh and blood, just like her left.]
[She finally looks up at Yuki, and motions her further in.]
Good, you're here. Take the second bank of computers over there and see if you can't make anything of it. They've changed up their encryptions and it's taking me a little longer to get through; I could use the help.
[the Covenant's message is simple; very elitest sounding, flowery wording ordering forces to their position to 'kill the demons'.]
[And since now she's got Yuki working on that, Kat-vatar herself starts ripping through the UNSC code, trying to get an idea on the size and strength of allies in their area.]

[It isn't really hesitation, but Yuki waits a moment or two before stepping inside and walking over to the computers. Well, when in Rome....
