[H-holy cow...

Back from the expedition, clean, warm, well-fed and dry, Rin reads through this letter three times, faster each time. She can hardly believe it.

"An answer to be made not with haste but with consideration", Alexstrasza says... but Rin is all haste and she hardly needs to think about it. But how to respond to a letter like this? Of course, Alexstrasza provides the answer again with her presence, her pull, and in moments Rin is on Tad's back, riding towards the tree and reining him up there, looking around. Is the Life-Binder here? Or will she come if called...?]

[ Her presence fills the area upon Rin's arrival. In fact it's flooding the area like it hasn't before, her scrying allowing more of her power to fill the area. It's like a ghost of herself lingers in the area, and from her dwelling she watches Rin's approach with fondness...and extends a myriad of blooming tulips to her and Tad in greeting ]

[Spontaneously blooming tulips? Looks like Alexstrasza's trademark to Rin. She drops off of Tad to crouch on the ground and brush her fingers lightly over the green leaves... amazing.]

Alexstrasza?

I am here. [ Her voice resounds from the very area itself as clear as if she had been there herself. And of course she extends this greeting to Tad as well--obvious affection and reverence seeps into the like a small brook in it's beginnings ]

[Rin closes her eyes momentarily, basking in that warm presence, before she opens them to pick her way closer to the tree. Once there, she seats herself before it, not leaning with her back against the trunk but cross-legged and in front of the tree itself. Tad sits behind her.]

You made me an offer... [She wants already to make the leap and say yes. Being picked out like this by Alexstrasza is a huge honor, and Rin trusts her completely.]

I apologize for not doing so in person...but there was much I had to dwell upon. I would have preferred to see you myself.

It's okay! A letter was exciting, too. And I'd like to, I think - but I do have a few questions.

Of course... I expected no less.

How would I change? What would happen if you went home, or if I did?

I cannot answer what would happen if I left...but should you return to your world I believe you would go back to as you were. You would have no recollection of this world nor its effects on you, if rumor is true.

How do the people who take the vow change?

You would gain a fraction my essence; my blessing. With this your natures will change...even if only a little. Those in partnership with my flight become extensions of our cause, guardians of life and healers of the world.

Those sworn to my brother, Aspect of time become ageless. Those sworn to She of the Dream become druids. Those who swear to be become guardians; ones who nurture and care for all things.

Druids and immortals... so like, people who affiliate with you are - healers?

In the most ideal of circumstances... But there are times when we are called upon to become guardians and defend what cannot protect itself.

Mm.

Would other people be able to tell?

[Not that that would really be a downside - she's just curious.]

That also I cannot say for certain... Those with keen senses may notice a change. But it is not so much a fundamental change as one of the senses; the innate gifts within you.
