[ It's circa 10 A.M. Claire appears in the lobby looking pretty disoriented. She has a high caliber, loaded handgun in her hand and it's aimed directly out in front of her -- for a moment, at least. Surprise flickers pretty quickly over her face and she draws it back closer to her by bending her elbow a little and pointing it skyward instead,

[ Well, there's a voice he knows! Minato is, unfortunately, ass-deep in the Insolitus right now, but he has the journal open on a rest break at just the right time to hear this.

Yeah, that's right. [ She doesn't recognize the voice at first -- one short name isn't a lot to go on for recognition purposes, so she's mostly trying to bait him into talking more so she can try and figure it out without flat out asking. ]

[ Talking more is rarely in the cards for him, sadly, but 'I'm back' in that tone of voice...it doesn't mesh too easily. But, as always, he reserves judgement for later. ]

Don't know Peter, sorry...what did he do?

I figured as much, Minato. [ Yeahhhhh sunglasses over sunglasses, she's feeling pretty awesome. It doesn't hurt that the longer she's here, the more the memories try to mesh with her past. ] Don't worry. Once I've taken care of things, I'll explain everything.

[Jono knows that voice, but not that tone. He hasn't spoken to Claire in quite a while, but last he checked, she was still a pretty carefree teenage girl. That isn't what he was hearing here.]

Yeah, about that "love" thing... [ It sounds like the old Claire for a minute, wry and amused, and then it turns cold. ] You should really stop.

[Well that's suspicious. As odd as their relationship's always been, Claire's never been all that bothered by the way Jono refers to her. She's acting odd, but it could just as easily be a bad mood. He'll let it slide for now.]

Like I said. A lot's happened. It's ... I don't know. Years? Maybe more. [ Somehow, the memories aren't lining up right. Like there's something that's just not jiving right. Like Paradisa was her, but it couldn't have been, because she didn't do the college thing. And Building 26 didn't happen. And by then, she was already training with Pinehearst. It doesn't add up, but the Paradisa memories are still there and it's just one big headache to try and figure it out. ] How long has it been here?
