[guess who has finally found out that there's a library here? it only took WAY too long for her to hear about it. there's so much she doesn't know about the world -- her world, and other peoples' worlds, and it was really starting to frustrate her

[Marian is seriously in love with the library, spends hours there (and just like Rapunzel, she hasn't been able to read as much as she'd want). She's only talked to Rapunzel over the journals once, but seeing a girl with THAT MUCH HAIR makes her certain of who it must be. She rolls over in her wheelchair, smiling.]

Hello... Excuse my forward manner, but are you Rapunzel?

[Oh! rapunzel turns to marian, offering a friendly smile back. she doesn't question the wheelchair, since she's just recently learned about them from tavros. thank god]

Hi! Yes, I'm Rapunzel. [she pauses, wondering how this woman knows her, because apparently rapunzel's life is a fairy tale, but marian's voice does ring a bell.]

Have we met? Your voice sounds familiar...!

[Marian smiles back, warmed by Rapunzel's. Oh my, that is indeed a lot of hair! Amazing...]

We spoke through the journals when you had just arrived and you couldn't brush you hair properly. We talked about ways to deal with it, I seem to remember. Hair oils? Yes, I think that's it.

[Admires the braid.]

You seem to have gotten it in good order!

[rapunzel thinks for a moment, then her eyes light up!] Marian! That's your name, isn't it? I totally remember the hair oils talk. It's great to actually meet you in person!

[rapunzel puts a hand on her braid and holds it out] Mhm! My friends take turns brushing and braiding it. It's so much more manageable when it's all bound like this! I can actually go places now!

[A certain elf likes to sit in the library sometimes and eat dinner while studying. She's nearby at a table with a few books open and a tattered spiral notebook and an ink quill scribbling down notes. Next to her is a plate of biscuits with honey butter, mashed potatoes, and roast chicken between them, one of these mini-sandwiches in her other hand.

Without missing a beat she speaks, not even having to look up.]

[reading all that made me drool a little bit... jk. but mmm sounds so good D: and rapunzel's thinking the same thing, and she blinks when alleyne addresses her]

Oh! Well... hah. That's the thing, I don't know where to start! [pause.] I know this might sound kinda weird, but I don't really know anything about history in general. Not even my own world's.

[It did for me, that's what happens when your mun is a chef, they're gonna inject that in your damn brackets like a marinade.]

They probably have a book on it around here. I know they had one for my world.

[a big smile in her direction, and she spreads her arms wide] Oh, it is! I've honestly never seen anything like it before! [if you can't tell by the enthusiasm... haha]

[grins even wider, that enthusiasm is infectious.]

Yeah? You haven't been in here, yet? C'mon, I'll show you around.

Oh, great! Thank you so much! [she looks positively thrilled] I've been here for two weeks, so I don't know how I missed this place!

Hmmm... I had three books back home! Botany, geology, and cooking. It might be nice to steer away from those, though, since I've been reading the same stuff for years!
