Eightieth Song - Open Caritas Post

Mar 16, 2011 01:03

[It's a normal night in Caritas. People are badly slaughtering well known classics, while other people drunkly listen to them, somehow thinking they're the best singers who ever lived. Same old show as usual. Lorne winces as someone hits a particularly bad high note]

Oh honey, I think the blackbird is singing in the dead of night for a reason.

[ oh my goodness, sounds like this should be utterly illegal! the princess, who is working today, is trying her hardest not to wince at the current song being belted out! but she eventually turns to Lorne, tugs on his sleeve and when he's down to her level? ]

Oh, Lorne, this is dreadful! Is this truly music?

[Oh god always so cute and adorable he just wants to squish her EVERY TIME]

I know, honey, as for the music part? It's kinda debatable. We just need to smile and hope they get so drunk they forget they're in a karaoke bar before they pick a new song.

[ SHE WILL GO SING. and make them all look like fools, oh yes. ]

I shall hope with all of my might, then!

[GO GIRL GO!]

And if not? We'll roll with Buffy's unplugging the karaoke machine idea.

[ pre shenanigans :)

Look who's venturing into Caritas! She heard the music over her journal, someone has an open journal somewhere, and decided to check it out because... What else does she have to do, really. And she's walking in, nosing around and... Not really quite sure ]

[Of course! Lorne smiles and gives her a wave]

[ While she may not recognise the face she goes across to him at his gesture, and then recognises the voice. And the naming. He'll get a little smile in place of a greeting ]

What is this place?

[Spike's just here for the booze, but he glances over at Lorne when he speaks.]

That's the problem with completely open karaoke. Can't be sure of quality.

And it sure is a problem when you got people who've never heard of Ringo Starr.

[ Pre-shenans again! :D

So she was exploring, and no curious does not kill the Kitty, and heard the music. Because... as bad as some of it sounded it did sound friendly and that was pretty much what she wanted. And needed, friendly was always needed. So she ventured in, through the door rather than the wall and... ]

Woah...

[Slowly explaining this] It kinda needs the singing to be a karaoke bar.
