[ yes she did have a little bit of a meltdown after justinia was 'napped, after working so long without sleep and trying so hard to keep her composure. a freak-out was sort of inevatable. it doesn't help that julian nearly KILLED her, either.
but it isn't long before she's tearing through all the books she can get her hands on again, needing something to distract her from the misery, once more sitting in a computer chair in Watchtower with a book in her lap and a coffee in her hand ]
...Livestock?
[ rustling sounds as some papers are shoved out of the way and she sets her coffee down to pull her journal closer and dictate properly, using all of her willpower to sound...normal. it might come off a little monotonous and forced as a result ]

I was trying to see if there was a better way to track this monster, and I found something. The reference is a little too familiar for comfort, but I don't see how it's of any use at this point. I'll repeat it anyway.
[ clearing her throat a little ]
"Despite the difficulty of photographing the invisible, some creatures appear only in photography, when even the most sensitive of technologies and magicks may miss them entirely. This is useful when dealing with invisible creatures attacking livestock: while it does little to deter the creatures, it allows the shepherd to know when his animals are at first, for the creature can be seen in a snapshot."

This pretty much tells us what we've already figured out, but...it really does beg the question of why cameras and video can capture him, and magic can't? Why only optical data? I mean I've been- I've been watching this video feed as much as I can, and I can see him, but it's always too late. [ a little out of breath there. s-sob ] There's never enough time.
Magic is supposed to make anything possible, isn't it? Isn't this creature using magic? So does that just mean his is stronger than everyone else's here? Is the castle really helping us with these clues, or is it just stringing us along while it's actually helping it?
How many children are gone now? What is this research actually accomplishing? Maybe the castle is just trying to waste our time.
